Easy monthly parking setup

I signed up for a monthly parking permit for commuter parking in London. The process was mostly smooth online. I received confirmation quickly and was able to start using it the next day. The customer service was helpful when I had a question about the automatic renewals; they responded within a few hours. The car park itself is clean, and the EV charging bays are a plus. It's not the absolute cheapest option out there, but the convenience and security make it worth it. I did notice one of the payment machines was out of order for a day, but I could still use ANPR.

Decent value for city parking

I needed short stay parking in Leeds. I found a pre-book discount on their site, which saved me about 15% compared to the drive-up rate. It felt like a good deal for how central the car park was. I'm always looking to save a bit, and this worked out well. The cost was reasonable for a few hours.

Good secure parking

I used CitiPark for event parking in Manchester. Pre-booking online was straightforward; I just picked my dates and times. The ANPR system worked perfectly, recognized my plate right away on entry and exit. The car park felt very secure, well-lit with cameras everywhere, which is important for me. My car was safe for the whole concert. The only slight issue was finding the pedestrian exit, it wasn't as clearly marked as the car entrance, but I got there eventually. Overall, a solid experience and saved some money compared to paying on the day.

Planning a weekend trip to London next month. Are there any discounts for new users or anything for first-timers booking parking? Trying to save a few quid.

L Leah 1 week ago
Sometimes they have a first booking discount if you sign up for their emails or download the app. Worth checking their site or the app store.

I think I got a little off my first booking when I used their app, yeah. Keep an eye out during Black Friday or school holidays too, they tend to have deals then.

Hey, thinking of parking at the Manchester Arndale one for a concert next month. If I book online now, can I still change the time if my plans shift a bit? Or am I locked in?

J Julia G. 1 month ago
Yeah you can usually amend it. I had to push my entry time back an hour once and it was pretty straightforward on their site. Just don't wait till the last minute lol.

I think you can, but it might depend on how close to the booking time you try. I'd check their terms, but generally for pre-booked stuff you get some flexibility.

How do these guys compare to Q-Park or NCP? Are they usually cheaper if you pre-book? Need to park near Old Trafford for a match.

A Adam Sanchez 3 weeks ago
In my experience, CitiPark can be cheaper, especially if you pre-book online. I've often saved 10-30% compared to just driving up at any of them. Worth comparing prices for your specific date though.

I find them pretty similar to NCP sometimes, but their pre-book discounts can make a big difference. Always check all three for your exact dates and times. Sometimes one has a promo the others don't.

Anyone know if CitiPark is legit? Like, are their car parks actually safe? Need to leave my car overnight in Leeds for a work trip and don't want to worry about it.

L Linda Phillips 4 weeks ago
They're totally legit, been using them for years in London and Manchester. Never had an issue, they've got ANPR and usually pretty well lit spots.

Yeah, they're a big company, not some dodgy pop-up. I've always felt my car was secure with them, especially in their multi-story ones.

Does anyone know if the blue light card discount works if I just drive up and pay at the machine, or do I have to pre-book online to use it?

H Hannah Robinson 1 month ago
Nah, pretty sure those discounts, including blue light, only work if you pre-book online or through their app. You can't just flash your card at the pay station.

Yeah, I tried that once with an NHS discount and it didn't work. Gotta pre-book and apply the code then. It's how they track it I guess.
